Lime Crime Makeup Review & Contest

I will be reviewing 2 Magic Dust eye shadows & 3 Candyfuture lipsticks from Lime Crime. These products were all bought with my own money & all opinions are my own. I am also holding a giveaway, all the rules & prize are listed at the end of the review.

Magic Dust Eye Shadows
From left to right: Magic Dust Eye shadows in Diva & Nymph.
All Lime Crime Magic Dusts are vegan and cruelty free. Diva is a metallic bronze shadow and Nymph is a white to gold shadow. These eye shadows are smooth, well mixed, light, highly pigmented & easily to blend. They last about 2-3 hours without eyeshadow primer, by the way I am kicking myself for not snatching Lime Crime's Candy Eyed Eyeshadow Helper Eyelid Primer which has been on my wish list since it came out. When I did my makeup today I used Nymph on my lip & patted it onto my brow bone with my finger & used Diva in my crease & the results were gorgeous, photos below. I have purchased Lime Crime's Magic Dusts before but I wasn't impressed I was actually disappointed but since then they have been reformulated & it definitely turned my opinion around. A few years ago the packaging used to be in a clear jar with a white lid, pictures in bottom of blog, but as you can see from above they have gone through a metamorphosis & turned into these gorgeous shadows you see. With the white lid containers they used to be 0.14 oz (4 g) but now they are only .07 oz (2 g) both sizes cost $14. Now this did upset me a little. It seemed like they were trying to cheat people by giving them less product but honestly its worth it. It might be a smaller amount but the eye shadows are so much better than what they were. They are definitely worth the money.

Pop Romance Collection Candyfuture Lipsticks

From left to right: New Yolk City, Coquette & Mint to Be.
I have been dying to get these lipstick since they came out this Spring. They are from Lime Crime's limited edition the Pop Romance Collection. Which I kind of wish the packaging was different, like possibly a different color or graphic but its still a pretty tube. There are only three colors in this collection, New Yolk City is a opaque banana-yellow, Coquette is a pale, blushed nude & Mint to Be is a pastel mint-green. New Yolk City has great color pay off, as you can see in the below pictures. It reminds me of sunshine. I did notice however that the color is changed a little because of my dry lips. Coquette is my favorite & I have been dying for this color forever. It was exactly what I was looking for in a nude lipstick. I instantly felt happy & smiled excessively when I put it on, as you can see in the video. The color is true to itself & gorgeous. If its meant to be its Mint to Be, *giggles* wordplay, I love this mint lipstick which reminds me of yummy spearmint gum. It is very pigmented but is more of a green mint than a blue mint but I love it all the same. All three of these lipsticks have a creamy texture, fantastic color pay off & surprisingly moisturized my overly dry lips when I had them on. The color lasted about 3-4 hours without a lip primer but I love to pull out this gorgeous tube to reapply.

  2. I just wanted to say I love love that you did a review of the more natural looking colors of lime crime, as some of them are my most favorites. Are you wearing Coquette in the first photograph? Your lime crime section is very amazing and I'm totally jealous! By the way, I followed your blog too, as I love to see up and coming make up artists ^_^!

  7. Haha, I probably would; Especially with all that beautiful pigmentation going on. :D My collection consists of general department store items ( not that that is always a bad thing) and anything I pick up that looks good on me. I'm just looking to hopefully advancing and making my own make up blog ^_^
